Big Changes to Bulk Trash Collection in Phoenix!
Heads up, neighbors! The City of Phoenix is revamping how bulk trash collection works starting September 30th, 2024.Here's the scoop:
Out with the old: Gone are the days of waiting for your designated quarterly bulk trash pick-up.
In with the new: Introducing appointment-based bulk trash collection! You'll be able to schedule your own bulk trash pick-up online, giving you more control over when those unwanted items disappear.
Benefits:
Convenience: Schedule a pick-up at your own pace, no more waiting for specific dates.
Flexibility: Get rid of bulk trash when it's convenient for you, not according to a pre-set schedule.
Here's how it works:
The City will provide an online portal (details to come!) where you can schedule your bulk trash pick-up.
You'll be able to choose a date that works for you, based on available collection slots in your area.
Once scheduled, you'll receive confirmation and instructions on placing your bulk trash at the curb for pick-up (within a designated timeframe).
Remember:
Bulk trash collection will still have limitations on quantity (up to 10 cubic yards) and accepted items (typically furniture, appliances, yard waste).
For details and updates, visit the Phoenix Public Works Department website at https://www.phoenix.gov/publicworks or keep an eye out for further information from our neighborhood association.
Let's make the switch to appointment-based bulk trash collection a smooth one! If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to the neighborhood association or the City of Phoenix Public Works Department.
