Success! Movie Night In The Park

Last night we hosted a Movie In The Park—showing the smash-hit “Encanto”—in partnership with the City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation Department, and the event was a great success!

We’ve been working for several months with the Neighborhood Services and Parks Departments to organize improvements for Cave Creek Park and to create events to help draw neighborhood residents out to the park to socialize and enjoy the space together.

The community enjoyed fantastic Salvadoran food from the Zpotes Food Truck, and Jeff Tisot from East Sunnyslope Neighborhood Association & Block Watch generously brought their block watch trailer—the “block watch in a box” with tables, pop-ups, and best of all their POPCORN MACHINE to help us make sure the event had a true movie night feel.

Maybe the best part of all was that we could not have asked for better weather! It was a beautiful night under the stars in the community, and we were even lucky enough to have a cool breeze for the entire evening.

We cannot say enough “Thanks” to our partners that helped us put on the event, and to all of the neighbors who came out to spend their evening with us—we look forward to continuing to plan and host community events like this that enhance our neighborhood.
