Shaw Butte (the neighborhood)

We live in a good neighborhood. Like any mature neighborhood in a dynamic city, ours has challenges. We also have incredible opportunities to make our neighborhood so much more.

Just to our northeast, Moon Valley provides an excellent model to emulate for branding disparate subdivisions into a cohesive neighborhood. To our south we have the Metro Redevelopment adding walkable transit-oriented housing & retail. Southeast of us we have the Hatcher Urban Business alliance, and the 19 North community group that has been very successful advocating for change in their neighborhood.

Nestled between Cave Creek Park and Shaw Butte Mountain, our neighborhood is poised for a renaissance and it’s up to us to decide who will influence and plan that renaissance, and how it will be achieved.

And so—Shaw Butte (the neighborhood) is born.
